Visit eSure >> No slogan has been parodied more and no image is more synonymous with the words no claims bonus than Michael Winner's face, and that face is the face of E-sure (in case you'd forgotten). There are only a handful of firms that actually put a sincere effort into offering no claims discounts on things like home insurance and in order to live up to their image Esure's home insurance takes the lead with a contents no claims discounts that we've seen reach 45% with further discounts if you take both buildings and contents cover together. Again, no skimping on the policy either with cover for your garden and its contents, a hefty ?10,000 cover for home office equipment like PCs and faxes plus you get round-the-clock emergency helplines and automatic approval of most valid claims over the phone in minutes.
Of course the brand was built on Esure's motor insurance policies, so in line with this E-sure are offering no claim discounts right up to a massive 75% - though they do state that for new customers you only get 70% immediately if you have 5 years no-claims or more and an extra 1% per year for the next 5 claim-free years on an Esure car insurance policy up to that maximum of 75%. Cover is not reduced with these discounts in place and things like courtesy cars are still standard but always check to ensure the things you want on your policy are there. Unlike other cheap insurance providers, E sure states that its low prices are the result of refusing to insure riskier drivers which is why a four year no claims bonus is mandatory to apply for a decent quote. This of course means you get the benefit of cheaper insuring without the loss of quality cover.
Backed by the HBOS group (Halifax Bank of Scotland) there is a wealth of experience and resources for them to draw on with the founder of Esure originally part of the start up of Direct Line (part of the RBS group). Of course, over the past few years both firms have been rivals in the news with Esures mouse on wheels being turned down as a trademark because, wait for it - the DirectLine logo has wheels on a phone ... yes, the government thinks that the general public may have trouble seeing the difference between a mouse and a phone if both have wheels on them. To add insult to injury not long after the case was settled DirectLine added a mouse on wheels to their logo. Maybe that's why one insurer has gone with an elephant just to make sure they don't step on any toes? As long as they don't put it on rollerskates ...
Anyway, since Esures inception they have grown to encompass Halifax car insurance, Sainsburys car insurance and Sheilas' Wheels specialist insurance for women. Certainly a market stayer even though they plagued us with "Calm down dear ..." for many years. Quick navigation note, you can find them at www.esure.com, www.e-sure.co.uk and www.esure.co.uk but www.e-sure.com is a completely different company. †
