Privilege certainly tries to be different in the field of car insurance by offering the same savings available from other insurers but with more benefits. With 4 years no claims discount already in your pocket they guarantee to beat your car renewal quote. If you have less no-claims years behind you, your discounts will range from 30% in your first year up to the 65% for 4+ years. There is no mention of whether named drivers will get to develop their own no claims discount but they do allow you to protect your no claims bonus once you have four years worth.
 There is mention of a discount for buying online but the level of this is not really discusses which can be taken one of two ways - 1. they are not offering that much off and are embarrassed or 2. they are not offering that much off because with their price beating guarantee they can't afford to which means you're not really losing out. Neither of which should put you off going for the online quote anyway, a saving is a saving, and you can push for an extra 10% off if you insure you home with them too. With Priviledge motor insurance you can get a 25% discount off of breakdown rescue cover. Discounts on Privileges home insurance include a 21% introductory discount when you buy online and an extra 4% off if you have a car insured with them already. The main offer is their price promise where they guarantee to beat your renewal quote. Things don't stop there though and you can get some money off other items as well with their membership discounts service. Once a member of the Privilege club, as it were, you have access to special offers and discounts with companies like Virgin Holidays and Champneys Luxury Spas. It is in this area that the notion being pushed in their name and advertising starts to show. You can also capitalise on their recent sponsoring of Jamie Oliver's television program with discounts on food/cooking websites and at restaurants across the UK.

19/11/2008 yeah all is good untill you make a claim. They take your excess money but don;t attempt to recover it from the third party at fault. I am left with loosing my no claims bonus due to the rubbish claims dept. Also it has been nine weeks and the still havent assessed my vehicle to see whether it is repairable. What a waste of time! I will go else where next time.
