20/01/2010 Id like to add to my previous post on 21/12/09, Im now another month on and still after 3 phonecalls and 2 emails they still HAVENT cancelled my policy and Im STILL out of pocket. Im now having to take further action against them, as I feel Im simply a number and not important to them. I have even given them deadlines in which to contact me and still I get nowhere.

18/01/2010 This comment is being entered as a warning before you buy. I have had a complaint against Zurich since 2005 and there are still serious issues to be addressed. I have a solicitor, have contacted the Financial Ombudsman and any other agency I can think of and all because Zurich failed, in my opinion, to supervise its sub contractors. The problem is a home & contents insurance and I have had a serious accident breaking my ankle in 5 places with all that goes with that. 21/12/2009 I had a policy with Zurich Connect from July 09, in December 09 I decided to look to change the car.They quoted an increase of £140 a month! Something I couldnt afford, took the option to pay £50 and cancelled the end of November.They have now taken money out of my account relating to the new car(£52 a month - not the quoted amount!) and today have served me a default notice as I have cancelled the direct debit! Rang Zurich Bank who say that they haven't received any communication that the policy has been cancelled!IM not impressed, I used Zurich in the past with no problems but Zurich Connect appear to not have the same standards! I am now in the process of sorting out the mess that they have made! Quotes and site are good, service is NOT!

16/11/2009 I got a quote online and when i bought the policy it jumped up by more than £250, then when i crashed my car it took them ages to pay me out which left me with out a car, and now i've purchased a new car and tried to swap insurance over they won't let me i just keep getting told somebody will ring me back and they never do or u have to explain yourself everytime you ring. It has now been a week and they still haven't changed the car on the policy but yet they're still taking my monthly payments on a car i no longer have. I will never use them again and i'll make sure everyone i know doesn't.

07/01/2009 when i had a claim with zurich my car was taken to a garage (adr) to be assesed the garage called me to say the damage was far to expensive to fix and would not be safe to drive if fixed and also added this should not be repaired. later i recieved a call from the approved repairer saying zurich independed engineer has NOT come to see the vehicle but called and has told them to repair the vehicle. this to me is a disgrace as the people who are to repair my vehicle did not even deem it to be safe, roadworthy or repairable in economical cost, and they expect me to have this vehicle back and carry my kids and family in it.

01/11/2008 I would really like someone to explain to me why every site I've been on today has said "up to" 10%, 15%, 20% or whatever discount - why "up to"? At least Zurich has the decency to actually state that 69% of people getting quote actually qualify for the full rate, every other quotation I've gotten has kept it a mystery! Still, when they're only offering 10% off for buying online you'd think they could give it to everyone.

30/10/2008 Site was easy to use. Their car insurance cover includes a courtesy car if you use their approved mechanics and 60 days free cover for driving elsewhere in the EU - I haven't seen other companies offer these deals so that seems quite good. Their form asks for more information than others, such as marital status and whether you're a homeowner - not sure why that's relevant. The site offers a "live chat with a member of staff" facility - I didn't need it but it's a good idea. Their quote was a bit higher than other companies, but does offer more coverage, so I'm not ruling them out.

16/06/2008 Easy form to complete, very quick, all questions had a help symbol where you could just hover over it and get more information. Gave immediate cover so you could print off the documents and forget about it until you left home. I also liked the fact that it gave a discount for students up to the age of 23. It was very easy to find which activities were not covered by the policy. It wasn't the cheapest quote I found, but it was up there, and the cover was really quite good, for example included £2,000 baggage allowance. Policy info was a bit excessive at 60 pages in length, but it was easy to understand.

14/06/2008 I found this to be a good website to find different types of business insurance. The options, and the various sectors, are clearly laid out. The process of obtaining a quote is a bit time consuming but this is to be expected when applying for specialist insurance.

27/05/2008 Highly professional looking financial site. Sadly they didn't want to quote for my car, but they work with Endsleigh and gave me the same quote as the Endsleigh site, which was very good. This site even offers to insure your boat, well of course! Good site, don't know about their prices as they wouldn't give me one.
